In 1999, Dawn Schenkel created Premier W.E.D. with a deep passion to make events as layered and dimensional as the persons standing within it. Adopting the philosophy “We Turn Fantasies Into Memorable Realities” has allowed Dawn to be part of some of the most treasured moments in her clientsʼ lives and she strives to stay current without losing a sense of tradition. Dawnʼs background in non-profit events and fundraisers allows her to be practical with logistics and ensures a budget-minded approach, even as she is passionately pursuing her ideas that are chic and glamorous in their creativity. She is a true designer and one of very few wedding and event planners who handle all of the design in-house and then delivers to the subcontracted vendors to execute. This sets her apart from her competition but also establishes a trusting relationship with her clients. Dawnʼs eye for all things fresh and new, as well as her unfailing sense of humor and infectious personality, has landed her coveted spots and awards in many magazines, national wedding websites, a consultant on a major network television show and ABC and Fox News feature. Premier W.E.D. is proud to be a member of The International Special Events Society (ISES), The Nashville Wedding Planners Group, and a selected member of the National Association of Professional Women.
